You should be aware that there are two strategies that successful content creators follow on social media that you can implement today:

  • They post consistently.
  • They talk about the same topics and categories in a loop.

Now that you know that, you can start implementing those two strategies in your social media content creation process.

STEP 1:

Start by identifying the three to five topics or content categories that you’d like to start talking about or be known for, and start creating content around those topics.

  • Example: If you’re a wellness coach, you could curate these topics: your why, rituals for success, personal growth, nutrition and fitness.

Stop overthinking an Instagram caption and posting random things to your feed. Download this guide to feel focused and stress-free about creating and posting on Instagram.

STEP 2:

Curate your social media feed around those topics and do it consistently so that people know what to expect from your channel and you build brand consistency with your audience.

  • Example: Identify a posting schedule and how often you want to appear on each platform. For example, perhaps you want to post on Facebook 3x’s a week, Instagram Stories 5x’s a week and Twitter 3x’s a week and so on. Reverse engineer this so that you know exactly how many pieces of content you need to create each week.

Monday: Share your why and why you’re a photographer

Tuesday: A helpful tool that you use as a photographer

Wednesday: A tutorial on how to edit photos

Thursday: Behind the scenes of how you shoot and set up for a photoshoot

Friday: An industry-related article about photographers
